Information Collected Through Website
The Journey Instruments, Ltd (“Journey”) website provides a channel for our customers and those interested in our products to interact with us and with each other. During this interaction, the site will sometimes ask for Personal Information such as name, email address, telephone number, mobile number and other information about interests in our products and/or services. Any Personal Information collected through the website will be used according to the terms of this Policy.
How We Use Customer Data
We use the data which you voluntarily provide to us for the purposes of warranty, fulfilling orders, servicing your products, communication for troubleshooting, and to notify you of other products or services which might interest you.
We will only send you email with product and service offers if you have elected to receive this. At the latest revision of this policy, we use Mailchimp to provide our email list services. If at anytime you elect to stop receiving new offers from us, simply click the “Unsubscribe” link in any of the emails we have sent to you. If you believe you have been added to our list without your consent, please contact us and we will remove you. It is not our intention to add anyone to the mailing list without their consent.
When you purchase our products from a dealer, you will have the option to register your product through our website. This will allow us to provide you with warranty service. You may choose not to register your product through the website, by which you are indicating that you have chosen not to receive warranty service.
How We Protect Your Personal Data
We maintain safeguards in our company to limit the exposure of Personal Data to those employees who need access in order to perform some function and to third parties we have contracted on your behalf. For example, we use Mailchimp to maintain our email lists.
We prefer to process credit card transactions through our secure payment gateway at Paypal. This means that when you pay us through Paypal, none of your credit card or other sensitive financial data will be seen by us. This reduces the risk to our customers of identity theft.
If you do elect to provide us with credit card data (e.g. by a phone order), we will only accept this data through facsimile or over the phone. Do not send by email. Additionally, this data will be strictly restricted to those within the company responsible for processing such payments. After payment is successfully completed, we will destroy your credit card information. This means that if you decide to place a second order through credit card, we will have to ask for your data a second time.
Regarding Public Information
Any comment you submit to one of our forums or comments form on the website is public. This means that all such submitted information is public information. Any Personal Data which you reveal in a comment or discussion could be used by others to send you unsolicited emails or other types of marketing materials. Journey is not responsible for the information you share publicly on the Journey website.
How You Can Update the Use of Your Personal Information
If you would like to change your Personal Information in our records, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will be happy to help you do so. You can also email us at this address to ask for removal from our mailing list. However, the easiest way to do this is to click “Unsubscribe” in any email you have received from us.

Policy Regarding Sale of Information to Third Parties
We will not rent or sell your Personal Information to outside third parties.
We may share your Personal Information with a third party who requires such information to perform a transaction or service. For example, when you sign up for our mailing list, Mailchimp will have access to your email address. If you make a bank transfer to us, our bank will have access to your payment information. For any party to which we do need to provide your Personal Information, we will take care that such party is under obligation to also take measures to protect the privacy of your Personal Information.

In the event which we deem it necessary to investigate, prevent or take some action against illegal activity such as fraud or a threat to the physical safety of a person, we may also disclose Personal Information.
Finally, if we are merged with another entity we may also transfer Personal Information.
We reserve the right to update this policy at any time and without notices as well as to update the look, feel and functionality of our website. If in the process we change how we manage your Personal Information, we will update this statement and place the updated form on our website.
